Onboarding workflow software

Build onboarding workflows people can follow.

Start with the contract start date, then give every employee and stakeholder activity a clear owner and relative working-day timing. Onboard uses the schedule of the person who receives each activity.

Eight activity types

Bring the right activity to the right moment.

A journey can combine people coordination, document work, questions and interactive discovery. The employee sees one connected plan while each contributor sees the activity they own.

Relative working-day schedules

Start date and working days set the relative timing.

When you add an employee, choose their start date, working days and journey. Onboard then counts backwards and forwards in working days for that employee's journey.

Reusable journeys

Keep the structure. Change what the new hire needs.

Start from a reusable journey or activity template, then target it by role, team, department or location. HR keeps a dependable foundation without forcing every employee through identical onboarding.

Preview before assignment

See the employee journey before it starts.

Review the order, working-day timing, recipients and employee view before assigning a journey. The preview makes gaps easier to spot while there is still time to fix them.

Journey builder questions, answered.

What can we add to an onboarding journey?

Onboard supports interactive stories, puzzles, document uploads, meetings, communication, actions, questions and goal setting. Optional daily missions can add further company discovery.

How does journey timing work?

Journeys use the contract start date as their reference point. Onboard counts working days backwards for preboarding and forwards for onboarding.

Whose working days are used?

Onboard uses the schedule of the person who receives the activity. A new-hire activity can avoid the new hire's non-working days, while an IT preparation action follows the IT team's schedule.

Can different groups receive different journeys?

Yes. Journeys can target roles, teams, departments and locations. Dynamic employee groups and journey assignment are also available.

Can we reuse our onboarding process?

Yes. HR teams can create reusable journey and activity templates, then adapt them for the employee or group being onboarded.
